Ruler of the sea, Proteum are massive whale fish with electricity infused in their body. They can gobble up entire creatures in one bite without even realizing it. Their sharp teeth allow them to slice prey in half within one chomp. The train bridge running from Mushroom Village to Aqualantis must be rebuilt once a year because of the damage done to it by hungry Proteum chewing on the support beams. On average one Proteum eats approximately 50-70 fishurn a day.
